Road Trip-Scottsdale, AZ

Easter weekend we (David, me and Bo) took a road trip to Scottsdale, AZ.  It is 6 or so hours away from ABQ.  When we started the drive David and I thought it would be boring with not much to look at.  Boy were we wrong.  It was probably one of the most scenic drives I have ever taken.  Who knew there was snow and mountains in Arizona.  I don't know about you but I always thought AZ was flat and a desert.   There was several feet of snow on top of the mountain and we also drove through a national forest with very tall trees.  Another thing I did not know AZ would have.

Bo's first road trip was tough.  He didn't want to get out of the car anywhere and was scared of the big trucks.  But when we arrived at Uncle Tim and Aunt Angie's he was in dog heaven.  He loved his cousins Trapper and Cole (they are golden retrievers).

While in Scottsdale, we did lots of fun stuff.  We went to eat Good Friday dinner at an Irish Pub and boy was it yummy.  We also went to a Diamondbacks vs. Cubs baseball game, played shuffle board at one of the coolest bars we have ever been to, we went swimming and relaxed outside a lot in the wonderful weather.  We also had a rattle snake visitor.

Guilty Pleasure?

There is a new show on E!  and I am obsessed.  I am not sure why and it scares me.  Lately I am not into tv but this particular show has me addicted.  I think it might be because it is so far from my real world.  Who really lives like this family, is this even real??  Who really thinks to live like this and why would you want to raise your girls like this.   But still I can't wait to see the next episode and I might watch some of the replays throughout the week.  Are you ready to hear what it is????  and I think you should TOTALLY check this one out this one for sure!!!!!!!!  Does anyone else have this addiction too??

What to Write??

I haven't posted lately.....why? I have am overwhelmed with ideas and/ or I have no idea what to write. Therefore, today will be an update on everything!

1. Bo Jackson- He is doing so great. He is still working on potty training. He knows how to sit and lay down and is working on shaking. He loves his 2 mile walks that his mommy (me) takes him on every day. He is scared of the trash cans and most people and dogs (we are going to work on this asap)!! He loves his treats that I homemade for him and he loves dumping out his toy basket and hiding all the toys.

2. Albuquerque- I have discovered that this is a weird place. Everyone walks their dog at some point in the day. There are parks in most neighborhoods, they are small but almost all are clean and have benches. Most people recycle to the extreme and always bring their reusable bags. I sometimes forget mine and get dirty looks, but they don't know that I am now a recycle freak and try to put everything in my bin.

3. David- He is working up a storm and had to take a road trip to Colorado for some metal. So Bo and I spent our first night alone. We did great!

4. Me- I am looking for a job here. We don't think we will be here much longer so this poses a problem. I am going to work on my framing company, SWEET THERESA'S FRAMING. My house is spotless cause that is all I do and I get to be crafty too. I am going today to get a Albuquerque Public Library card so that I can read. Daytime tv stinks.

I hope you enjoy my updates. Also, for all my blogger friends: How do you come up with your topics? Suggestions PLEASE!!!!

Bo in the Snow and trip to the Vet!

It snow in Albuquerque last Thursday!  We had no idea it was supose to snow and when I opened the door to let Bo out there was 2 inches.  It didn't stick long but it was still pretty and there is still snow on the mountains today!

Bo loved the snow and tried to eat it all!!

After playing in the snow Bo and I took our first trip to the Vet.  Bo did ok, he is still getting use to the car and he is still scared of people in general.  At the vet he wouldn't take any cookies and he stayed under my seat the whole time.  Eventually, the vet got him out from under me and gave him a clean bill of health.  Here are some pictures from his trip.

Our Albuquerque House

Here are the pictures that I have promised of our house in ABQ.  It was built in 1920 and is so cozy.

I will post some outside pictures soon.  On another note, David and I have added a new member to our family.  His name is Bo Jackson Hauert and we adopted him from the NM Humane Society yesterday.  He is 6 months old and is absolutly precious!  More to come on him soon too, but below is the first picture of him.

Where in the world is Albuquerque, NM??

So, I have had lots of questions of where exactly New Mexico was located.  Below are some maps of where we are located for now.  I am sure there will be many more locations that I (or you) have never heard of.   It is very different than Georgia, there is not much grass or trees or really anything green at all.  In fact some people have astroturf for grass in their yards.  There are mountains outside our door and everywhere we look, the views are spectacular!! ( I will put up some pics of our neighborhood soon)
