New Year's Resolution, Early!

Okay, I have decided {after much neglect} that I am going back to blogging and sharing my life on the road and away from everything I know.  I am going to try to blog 3/4 days a week.  So here it goes......

Our first Christmas Tree is up and we love it.  It's our first REAL tree.  So we will have to keep up with the watering and make sure Bo doesn't eat it or pee on it.

Bo's special Ornament.

More to come soon....

Smooch Smooch

Yesterday I went to Starbucks in Las Cruces, NM to get a iced black tea and read for a while.  During my visit I observed 2 teenagers held up in the corner MAKING OUT!  Is this okay?  I was very distracted,  read one chapter and left.

I felt like the ABC tv show, Primetime: What Would You Do?  What are you suppose to do when kids are making out directly in front of you???

p.s.  I recommend this great book. {Thanks Rebecca for sending it to me :)}

It's a Girl!

Everyone knows how much I love to get my nails done.  Well, since moving away from my favorite nail salon at home {Bella Vita} I have not been to brave to try new ones in New Mexico.  Today I braved it and tried a new nail salon.  It was great and I would recommend it to anyone who lives in Las Cruces.  I was a little disappointed at first because they didn't have my favorite color OPI Sweetheart, but after a few minutes I discovered a new color.....OPI It's a Girl.  You should try it out {I recommend 2 coats}

Continuing with the theme It's a Girl {and Boy} Congrats are in order to a couple of wonderful new parents.  The past couple of weeks have been busy for our friends and we couldn't be more excited.  Congrats and we can't wait to meet your beautiful little ones!!!!!

Obsessed and Update

Update:
I have been a bad blogger.  With so much spare time, I can't seem to get much done.  So with that thought in mind, I have decided to post more often and to post multiple posts to catch up.  I hope this works and kicks my butt into blog shape.

To update our lives Las Cruces--

Bo- He is growing so fast.  He is 10 months old this month and has graduated his first obedience school class!!  We are such proud parents.  Bo loves his walks and the dog park.  He also is such a playful pup and loves his treats.   We are still working on Bo not being scared of people, we need more visitors!

David- Is working extra hard on completing his Dollar General Store in Vinton, TX on time and in one piece.  We hope this happens soon so we can move again.  He should be done here by mid August but I am not sure how close to that deadline that he will be.  Updates to come soon.

Emily- I am working on finding an online job that I can do from place to place.  This is a harder task that you might think, any ideas?  I am also starting from couch to 5K training.  I will give more updates on how that goes too.  I am pumped to start this!!

OBSESSED:

One word......NCIS

They don't make movies like this anymore...

My favorite movie is the original of Yours, Mine and Ours with Lucille Ball

While David is home camping I decided to catch up on all the other old movies I love.  The best part is with Netflix you can watch instantly on a wii.  Here are my suggestions.

I am also absolutley in love with Gidget!

Does anyone else love old movies or recommend any good ones?

Bo goes to school

We have started school with Bo.  He is doing so great although he doesn't like the pet store that we are taking the class in.  He is still pretty scared of people who are not at the dog park, but he is growing to like Steve, his teacher.  Bo is learning the following: sit, down and shake (which he already knows).  The new tricks are stay, wait, come, leave it.  Those are all with hand signals that he is getting slowly.  I think he is loving school and he is a super fast learner.  The only issue he is having is he is not a good eater.  We are working on it and we hope by next week he will eat his whole bowl in a few mins like he is suppose to.   I will take some pictures of him at school next week!!!!

Road Trip-Scottsdale, AZ

Easter weekend we (David, me and Bo) took a road trip to Scottsdale, AZ.  It is 6 or so hours away from ABQ.  When we started the drive David and I thought it would be boring with not much to look at.  Boy were we wrong.  It was probably one of the most scenic drives I have ever taken.  Who knew there was snow and mountains in Arizona.  I don't know about you but I always thought AZ was flat and a desert.   There was several feet of snow on top of the mountain and we also drove through a national forest with very tall trees.  Another thing I did not know AZ would have.

Bo's first road trip was tough.  He didn't want to get out of the car anywhere and was scared of the big trucks.  But when we arrived at Uncle Tim and Aunt Angie's he was in dog heaven.  He loved his cousins Trapper and Cole (they are golden retrievers).

While in Scottsdale, we did lots of fun stuff.  We went to eat Good Friday dinner at an Irish Pub and boy was it yummy.  We also went to a Diamondbacks vs. Cubs baseball game, played shuffle board at one of the coolest bars we have ever been to, we went swimming and relaxed outside a lot in the wonderful weather.  We also had a rattle snake visitor.
